Le départ (ou pas) - Beginning (or not)

1er octobre. On l'a attendu. Longtemps.

Après 11h de vol, on arrive enfin à Madagascar, près pour un nouveau départ. Sauf que. Sauf que, en fait non.

1er octobre, on arrive à Vernouillet. Et non, il n'y a pas de Vernouillet à Madagascar, on parle bien du Vernouillet à 1h de Paris.

Coincés en France à cause du Covid-19. Evidemment, avec ma poisse légendaire, ça ne pouvait qu'arriver, mais j'avoue que celle-là, on ne l'avait pas vu venir (bon ok, peut-être un peu, mais quand même).

Les vols ont repris, les départs à Madagascar sont de nouveau autorisés par le gouvernement, on attend nos visas, et on part !

On va être absolument ravis de se taper 3 tests PCR (le coton-tige qu'on t'enfonce dans le nez comme sur le schéma oui) en l'espace d'une semaine, on a hâte. En arrivant on aura le droit à quelques jours à l'hôtel en attendant les résultats, et on pourra peut-être enfin arriver chez nous. La suite au prochain épisode (parce que nous aussi on aimerait bien la connaître).

October 1st. We've been waiting for this day for a long time.

After an 11 hours flight, we finally land in Madagascar for a fresh start. But... actually, no.

October 1st, we reach Vernouillet. And no, there's no city called Vernouillet in Madagascar, we are talking about the small city an hour away from Paris.

Thanks to our lovely Covid-19, we are stuck in France. Of course, with my legendary bad luck, we should have known it would happen (ok, maybe we did).

Planes are now flying again and the government allows trips to Madagascar again, so we are waiting for our visas, and we'll leave!

Our 3 PCR tests to come are an absolute delight (yes, the swab in the noze as on the sketch above), we can't wait.

Then, we will have to wait a few days in a hotel for our results, and we can finally get home.
